DECK BUILDING
HOW DO I BUILD A DECK?
Decks are generated when you add Illuvitars via the team builder interface. Decks consist of 30 cards.
HOW DO I CONTROL WHICH CARDS I GET IN MY DECK?
"Your game cards are based on the accessories, backgrounds, and other traits of your Illuvitars. The more copies of a trait in your team the more related cards you"ll get in your deck. For example the Tattoo accessory grants you cards which buffs attack. If all of your Team have Tattoos then you will get 4 attack buff cards. If only two of your team members have Tattoos you will only get 2 attack buff cards."
GAMEPLAY
DO I LOSE CARDS WHEN I PLAY THEM?
Nope — cards are drawn from an infinite deck. Once played, they cycle out and your hand refills back to 5 at the end of your turn.
CAN I CHANGE WHICH ILLUVITAR IS IN THE ALPHA SLOT?
Yes — certain cards let you rotate the wheel, shifting a different Illuvitar into the Alpha Slot to strategize around buffs, threats, or healing.
WHAT HAPPENS IF TIME RUNS OUT ON MY TURN?
If the 45-second timer runs out, your turn ends automatically. Plan fast, play smart.
HOW DOES DAMAGE WORK?
Cards can deal damage, but combos can scale damage higher. Eliminating an Illuvitar can take multiple turns — it’s about timing and synergy.
WHAT’S THE TURN 15 RULE?
To prevent super-long matches, a global escalation of damage will kick in at turn 15. All damage gradually increases until a winner emerges.
HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL GAME TAKE?
Most matches last between 10-15 minutes, depending on player strategy, card combos, and rotations. With timed turns and a potential damage multiplier, Alpha Wars is designed for quick, high-stakes gameplay — no hour-long slogs here.

No, you must own Illuvitars to use them on your team.
DO I NEED ANYTHING BESIDES ILLUVITARS TO PLAY?
No, as long as you have 5 Illuvitars in your wallet you can play Alpha Wars.
IS THIS PAY-TO-WIN?
No, while stronger Illuvitars offer different stat ranges, the game includes energy balancing. If your team has significantly less total power, you’ll gain extra energy per turn to balance the gap. Strategy, timing, and synergy matter more than raw power.

DO I NEED TO CONNECT A WALLET TO PLAY?
Yes, connecting a wallet is required to sync your Illuvitars and accessories. Your deck is built from on-chain assets you own, so wallet access ensures your cards reflect what’s in your collection.
